Welcome Speech – President of the Organizing Committee

Dear Friends,

It is a great honor for me to share a few words on the occasion of this significant sporting event, which will take place in Koper in the first half of September.

The FISU World University Championship in Sport Climbing is an event that requires an immense amount of organizational preparation and provides a wonderful experience for everyone involved, from volunteers to athletes.

It will also be a memorable and positive experience for all spectators.

I am particularly delighted that this year’s championship is being held in Koper, offering athletes from various countries the opportunity to explore our city.

I believe it is vital to bring professional sports, sporting events, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle closer to young people. Professional athletes, especially those who pursue dual careers, are indeed the greatest ambassadors of a healthy lifestyle and quality of life.

As the president of the organizing committee, I am incredibly proud of all my colleagues who have contributed to the preparation of this major and important event.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for their dedication and hard work in making the World University Championship possible.

I wish all participants a pleasant stay in Koper and much success in the competition—may the best win!
