Press Conference – Novinarska konferenca [3. 9. 2024]

En lep pozdrav vsem skupaj v imenu Univerzitetne športne zveze Primorske.

Izjemno veseli in počaščeni smo, da lahko organiziramo že četrto FISU Svetovno univerzitetno prvenstvo v športnem plezanju, ki bo potekalo med 8. in 12. septembrom v plezalnem centru plus climbing Koper.

Prvenstvo zajema vse tri discipline (težavnost, hitrost in balvane), na katerega je prijavljenih 260 udeležencev iz 27 držav – od Avstralije pa vse do Čile.

V nedeljo je predvidena otvoritvena slovesnost ob 17h, za tem sledi tekmovanje v balvanih (ponedeljek in torek), hitrost (torek in sreda), težavnost (sreda in četrtek).

Prvenstvo je za obiskovalce brezplačno, finalna srečanja si bo možno ogledati tudi preko livestream fisu.tv.

Slovenska univerzitetna reprezentanca bo sodelovala s 14 tekmovalci, in sicer v balvanih in težavnosti. Računamo na zelo dobre uvrstitve, vsi si želimo tudi vsaj eno medaljo.

Naj povemo, da imamo prijavljene res vrhunske tekmovalce, ki uspešno usklajujejo študij in šport.

Predvsem v hitrosti je izjemna konkurenca v ženski kategoriji. Deng Lijuan (Kitajska) srebrna medalja na olimpijskih igrah, trenutno št. 1 svetovne lestvice.

Potem so tu še Kalucka Natalia (Poljska), št. 4, Zhang Shaoqin (Kitajska) št. 5, Joeong Jimin št. 8.

V moški kategoriji imamo v hitrosti Ukrajinca Tkach Yaroslav, ki je dosegel 10. mesto na olimpijskih igrah. V težavnosti pa izstopa šesti na svetovni lestvici Murashita Zento (Japonska).

Ambasador prvenstva je Mina Markovič, nekoč študentka Univerze na Primorskem in vrhunska plezalka, dobitnica številnih medalj na svetovnih pokalih ter vzor marsikateremu otroku.

V zaključku bi se zahvalil partnerjem in pokroviteljem, predvsem Mestni občini Koper, Slovenski turistični organizaciji, Planinski zvezi Slovenije, Univerzi na Primorskem, Študentski organizaciji Univerze na Primorskem, Plus climbing centru Koper ter vsem drugim sponzorjem in donatorjem, brez katerih bi težko organizirali tako zahtevno prvenstvo.

A warm greeting to everyone on behalf of the University Sports Association of Primorska.

We are extremely pleased and honored to organize the 4th FISU World University Championship in Sport Climbing, which will take place from September 8th to 12th at the Plus Climbing Koper center.

The championship includes all three disciplines (lead, speed, and bouldering) and has 260 participants registered from 27 countries, ranging from Australia to Chile.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for Sunday at 5 PM, followed by the bouldering competition (Monday and Tuesday), speed (Tuesday and Wednesday), and lead (Wednesday and Thursday).

The championship is free for visitors, and the final events can also be watched via livestream on fisu.tv.The Slovenian university team will participate with 14 competitors in the bouldering and lead disciplines.

We are counting on very good results and are aiming for at least one medal.We are proud to announce that we have registered top-level competitors who successfully balance both studies and sports.

The women’s speed category is particularly competitive, featuring Deng Lijuan (China), silver medalist at the Olympics and currently ranked No. 1 in the world, as well as Natalia Kalucka (Poland) ranked No. 4, Zhang Shaoqin (China) ranked No. 5, and Joeong Jimin ranked No. 8.

In the men’s speed category, we have Ukrainian Tkach Yaroslav, who placed 10th at the Olympics. In the lead category, Zento Murashita from Japan, ranked 6th in the world, stands out.

The ambassador of the championship is Mina Markovič, a former student of the University of Primorska and an elite climber who has won numerous medals in World Cups and is a role model for many children.
